I haven't written for a while, i have been so busy with doing my prelims and preparing for extension english two next year. I am starting back up with taking pictures, i had a month or so where i just didn't feel like doing anything really. I got locked out of my house yesterday for three hours with just my camera, a fantastic opportunity to take pictures. I only really realized during that time how beautiful my garden is. I explored every single metre of the place and discovered so many beauiful areas. I can't wait for summer just so i can sit out there with a good book and my camera. Seeing as it was my last day of year eleven last week i decided it would be a good idea to speak to the careers adviser about what i should be doing to get where i want to go with photography. I never realised how supportive school was. They told me about all the courses available and i'm looking at either going to RMIT in Melbourne or UTS in Sydney. Either way it is a three year fulltime course and then i can go on to become an advertising photographer. The school is being really supportive and my photography teacher said he would help me build up a really strong portfolio for the application interviews. So i feel like i am working towards something now, it feels really good. I have been told for RMIT i have to do at least extension one english, so i suppose my confusion about what subjects to pick has been sorted now. It'll be a lot of work but i really feel like a challenge. It's the holidays now and it's pretty relaxed really. I'm going on a photoshoot to Wollongong with two of my close friends Charlie and Callum, i can't wait to get some portrait shots. Taking photos is my hobby. It is the one thing i never get sick of doing, i would do it all day if i could. Nothing makes me happier than freezing a moment in time. That is essentially what i want to do with my life, forget all the bad times and focus on all the beautiful aspects of the world and freeze them in a picture that can be reflected upon for the rest of my life and onwards. That is my dream.
